Vágtázó Halottkémek (VHK) is a legendary Hungarian underground band founded in 1975 and led by singer, physicist and philosopher Attila Grandpierre. Combining shamanic punk, psychedelic rock, primal rhythms and collective improvisation, Vágtázó Halottkémek has created a radically original musical world that has influenced generations of alternative musicians.

Emerging under Hungary's socialist regime, the band gained international recognition for its uncompromising artistic vision and explosive live performances. Vágtázó Halottkémek concerts transcend conventional rock shows, becoming intense, ritualistic experiences driven by ecstatic vocals, hypnotic rhythms and an overwhelming collective energy.

Fifty years after its formation, Vágtázó Halottkémek remains dedicated to its original mission: awakening the instinct for life and exploring the boundless possibilities of human freedom through music.
